Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of institutional organizational culture on social workers' perceived value of work, targeting social workers at local social welfare centers, welfare centers for the disabled, and senior welfare centers. In 2019, 287 people who gave valid responses to all variables used in the analysis were analyzed using survey data targeting social workers at 45 facilities, including local social welfare centers, welfare centers for the disabled, and welfare centers for the elderly in Jeollabuk-do. Among the variables input in the final analysis model, collective organizational culture, developmental organizational culture, and subjective economic status affected the sense of work value. It has been verified that social workers' perceived value of work increases as the organizational culture is relationship-centered and a collective culture that values familial atmosphere, and a developmental culture that emphasizes creative responses to the external environment and organizational development, and the better the subjective economic status is, the better. Although the results of this study are limited to social welfare institutions in Jeollabuk-do, it suggests a plan to improve the organizational culture of social welfare institutions to improve the perceived value of work, which is a major element of social workers.
